Tracy said: "So my mum noticed a tub of fence paint had been abandoned in the street so it looks like some horrible people thought it funny to throw it at my mums house."

At least two businesses have already come forward to help Tracy's mother during these uncertain lockdown times.

The Karcher Home & Garden centre in Banbury has pressure washed and cleaned her home during which they managed to remove the 'stubborn' dried paint from the windows, doors and some of the ground."

Another Banbury business, Clean-Away, has offered to do a free front of house clean too.

Jason Howard, the owner of Clean-Away, completed full exterior clean of the woman's house free of charge, which included the garden and three patio areas on the front and back of the home.

Jason said: “It’s nice to be nice. She’d had something horrible happen, and if we could put a smile back on her face and do something nice then it was worth it.”

Tracy added: "My mum has been overwhelmed that people have helped in such a way.

"She is very garden proud and recently had her garden done professionally so this was very upsetting for her.

"I think that whilst people are being forced to stay away from their loved ones during this difficult time it’s very upsetting to go through this and have it happen to your property.

"Having so many offers of help from the general public, and some of Banbury’s businesses is so lovely.

"An offer has also been made to help make her garden as good as new too."

"Things like this should not happen let alone during this very difficult time and the community has really pulled together."
