Banbury thief targets female pensioner as CCTV image is released

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image of man officers would like to speak to following a theft in a Banbury supermarket.

At around 10.45am on Wednesday, January 8 the victim, a 73-year-old woman, was shopping in Morrisons in Swan Close Road when her purse was stolen.

Stolen cards from the purse were later used to make purchases.

Investigating officer PC Christopher Eaton based at Banbury police station said: “I believe the man in these images may have vital information that will help the investigation.
