Raymond Morgan was charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Adrian Fannon and Mark Pawley at his Newland Road flat in October.

A jury at Oxford Crown Court returned a guilty verdict over Mr Pawley’s murder but a not guilty decision for Mr Fannon’s death after listening to more than a week of witnesses and evidence.

There were cries of despair from the public gallery as the verdicts were made.

Morgan is due to be sentenced at the same court tomorrow (Friday).
