Arrests made in Bicester assault in which victim was repeatedly stomped on

Police have arrested two people in connection to an assault in which the victim was repeatedly stomped on during an incident in Bicester.

The assault occurred when a man and a woman were verbally abusive towards the victim, a man in his 30s, before entering his property on Herald Way.

The victim was repeatedly stomped on and suffered a broken leg, cut lip and bruising to his face.

The assault happened around 10.30pm on Friday July 17.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been released.

Police have arrested a 46-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Bicester, and charged them each with one count of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both suspects have been released on bail.

Police are still looking for witnesses to the assault.

Investigating officer PC Christopher Guttridge, based at Bicester police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone has any information about this incident to come forward.

“This was a loud and disruptive incident and the offenders were in the street both before and after the assault took place. If you heard anything around this time, please get in touch.
