Neighbourhood police officers from Thames Valley Police will be hosting a crime prevention roadshow in Banbury tomorrow (Thursday).
The event takes place opposite the Sunshine Centre in Edmunds Road between 10am and 3pm. It will aim to prevent crime by showing the simple ways people can secure their homes and property.
Residents will be able to get their bike marked, recieve security advice and speak to officers from the Ruscote, Hardiwck, Hanwell Fields and Neithrop neighbourhood team and Banbury Local CID.
Sergeant Jade Hewitt of Banbury Police Station, said: “We are taking the Have Your Say meetings to the doors of people who might not otherwise be able to attend.
“We want to see people who live in our community, we want to know what their issues are, what troubles them and what we can do to help them, as well as showing people what services the police can offer.
“We will also offering security advice, such as avoiding leaving doors and windows open and marking your possessions with UV pens - little things that will help prevent you becoming a victim of crime.”
Officers will also walk around the area and offer security advice to residents on the doorstep.
