The force was strong in Banbury on Saturday as two stormtroopers were at Comic Connections on Parsons Street to mark 21 years since the business first opened.

Glyn Smith first opened the shop in Calthorpe Street on November 11, 1994 and has been at his current base since 2000.

The stormtroopers posed with customers and shoppers in town despite the wet weather, raising £119.68 for Children in Need.

Mr Smith said: “We’d like to thank everybody for giving so generously to Children in Need and also our customers for 21 years of support.”
