The headteacher of Chipping Norton School has paid tribute to an ‘incredibly gifted student’ following her death.
Students and staff were made aware of the death of Year Ten pupil Jenny Fry last Thursday.
In a statement released by the school, Simon Duffy said: “Jenny was an incredibly gifted student with huge potential. She had a particular flair for art even as a young child. She was an enquiring individual who wanted to question everything.
“Her sense of humour made her likeable and she was very popular with students and staff alike. Students have described her as easy to talk to and a loyal friend. We will all miss her and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.”
In a letter to parents, the school added that ‘the end of last week was understandably very difficult for all staff and students in the school’ and counselling was provided to support those that needed it.
Police have said they are not treating her death as suspicious.
