Chipping Norton School celebrates 50 years of German exchange
The event was enjoyed by students, teachers, the mayor and visitors from Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in Nördlingen on September 19.
Mayor Don Davidson presented the German teachers with a glass engraved with the coat of arms of Chipping Norton. As well as music from the school’s concert band, the highlight of the evening was a shadow puppet play performed in German by some of the Chipping Norton School students telling the story of the saving of Nördlingen in 1440 by a pig.
