The volunteer reading charity ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) is desperate for Banburyshire volunteers to help pupils develop a love of reading.
ARCh has a number of schools waiting for help.
Field worker Liz Riley said: “If you enjoy reading and have just three hours per week to spare, perhaps you could help a child in a local primary school to love reading as much as you do.
“The Bicester-based charity ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) is urgently seeking volunteers in the Banbury area. No experience is necessary as full training will be given.”
She added there were a large number of enthusiastic volunteers in the Banbury area, who not only enjoy reading with children in school, but enjoy the social benefits of belonging to a volunteer group; these include, coffee mornings and group lunches as well as ongoing training.
