The first weekly prize of £250 Marks and Spencer Vouchers was won by David Brummel who was shopping with his 10-year-old daughter Amelie.

Mr Brummel was selected at random from the many shoppers that visited Banbury’s Castle Quay Shopping Centre as late night openings signal the start of the Christmas build up.

The prize draw will continue until Thursday, December 22 when a grand prize finale of £1,000 will be given away.

Mr Brummel and his daughter were presented with the vouchers by Castle Quay security member Richard Robinson.

Paul Jackson, Castle Quay Shopping Centre manager said: “We’re over the moon to be able to spread some joy to shoppers in our local community this Christmas and help some of our customers have an even bigger and better festive season.

“The look on David’s face was priceless on Thursday and we’re all fighting over who gets to present next week’s voucher.”
