Car driver suffers minor injuries in Chipping Norton HGV crash

A driver escaped with minor injuries after their car was involved in a collision with a HGV in Chipping Norton.

Fire crews, paramedics and police officers were sent to the crash on the A361 at around 11.25pm on Wednesday (October 3).

The injured car driver was assessed by paramedics before the door was removed by firefighters so the casualty could get out.

Chipping Norton Fire Station crew manager David Cuthbert said: “The wearing of seat belts, prevented much more serious injuries.

“I would take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of always wearing your seat belt as without it, even a relatively minor collision, could have serious consequences.

“Also, with the weather now starting to turn colder and the day’s getting shorter remember to check your tyres.”
