Thames Valley Police is looking to speak to a female nurse who they think was the first to the scene of a collision near Chipping Norton.

The incident happened on the B4026 Charlbury Road just outside the village of Spellsbury at about 8.30pm on July 20.

Police have released details today (Friday) and are looking to speak to the witness after a green and blue coloured Ford Focus left the road and collided with a hedge.

PC Paul Daniells of the patrol team based at Witney Police Station, said: “We believe that a female nurse was first on the scene. However at the moment we have not been able to speak to this potential witness who may have information about what happened.

“I would ask them or anyone else who saw this collision to come forward to assist us with the investigation.”

A 29-year-old man from Banbury has been arrested in relation to this incident on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

He has been released on police bail until August 24.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
