A garden maintenance company based in Hornton has opened its new nursery.

Pro-Gardens Ltd has opened the facility at its site in Quarry Road and members of the public can visit on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The nursery will supply herbaceous plants in large five litre pots as well as providing a cash and carry collection store for landscapers and garden designers.

Jacqueline Franklin, director, said: “Providing plants in five litre pots gives instant impact in filling garden borders quickly, for the same price as smaller pots sold in garden centres.

“We are happy to help and advise as to where plants are best suited and many are bee friendly. You can rest assured you are getting the best service for your garden; we offer a professional service where we can offer the supply and planting of your new plants. Our staff will be able to plant up your borders for you.”

The nursery has been developed by a team of eight horticulturists and will provide instant herbaceous plants and grasses in its garden design and planting plans for clients. Mrs Franklin said: “We find that this time of the year is when people are thinking about their garden and what plants they would like to fill in the gaps.

“We do a lot of shows throughout the summer including events at Tysoe, Brailes, Blenheim Palace and Kenilworth. The nursery gives people the opportunity to visit us and discuss with our team the type of plants they want.”

Pro-Gardens is a fully accredited professional garden company, a member of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL). It is backed by the Government’s Trustmark scheme.
