Southfield Primary Academy in Brackley has been placed into special measures following its recent Ofsted inspection.
The school on Banbury Road was visited by three inspectors on November 18 and 19, who indicated improvements should be made in certain areas such as the provision of additional computing resources.
But they were positive about the new leadership of the school, and said positive relationships between staff and pupils are highlighted as a strength of the school as well as safety of pupils and good behaviour in class.
Jane Cartlidge, headteacher. said: “We have wonderful pupils, hardworking staff and supportive parents - all the ingredients to make our school the best it can be. We are confident that we will be able to deliver the improvements required while maintaining all that makes Southfield such a brilliant place to learn.”
