Boy, 11 and pilot hurt after light aircraft comes down near south Northants village

An 11-year-old boy has been air-lifted to hospital following a plane crash near Canons Ashby. At around 11.45am this morning, Monday, August 12, the emergency service were called to the crash scene near to Canons Ashby House. The 11-year-old passenger was taken to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious injuries, while the pilot was being treated at the scene.A Tweet by @CanonsAshbyNT said: “Thankfully no visitors have been affected and the property is undamaged.“Our thoughts go out to the injured and their families.”
