Art work in a variety of media was displayed alongside some attractive and useful crafts when Bourton Art Group held an exhibition on Saturday.
The group’s members mounted an impressive collection of paintings in acrylics, watercolours and pastels while visiting craftspeople and fundraisers offered their goods to visitors.
“The Bourtons Art Group meets on Mondays from 10am - 1pm with our tutor Barry Whitehouse. This show enabled local artists from the Bourtons and from other nearby villages to show off their work,” said co-organiser Carolyn Langridge.
“We invited craftspeople from the area to join us and we had some lovely woollen goods, clothes, hats and scarves, hand crafted cushions and glass ornaments and Christmas decorations.
“Dogs for Good took a stall and there was a sales stall raising money for Katharine House Hospice.”
Bourtons Art Group welcomes new members. Under the tutelage of Barry Whitehouse, participants watch demonstrations and receive help and advice in their own preferred medium. See www.thearteryonline.co.uk
