Body painting artist Pierangela Manzetti fooled everyone when she took model Anne Crawshaw around town in a pair of fashion jeans.

Because the denims, with rips, label, pockets, scuffs, belt and stitching was all a complete illusion - the blue jeans were a stunning body painting experiment.

Ms Manzetti has a growing following as a body paint artist and hair designer.

“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. It has been done before but everyone puts their own individual artistic twist on it,” she said.

“It was a practice run for a full scale project I’m doing in Rochdale next month. I asked for someone willing on Facebook and Anne Crawshaw offered herself up. She had the perfect body for it; exactly the right shape for jeans. So with my skills and her body it worked really well. Anne was still buzzing days later!”

The painting took eight hours to complete and no one in Banbury town centre spotted the jeans were not real.

“People were disbelieving, some even had to touch her leg to check that it wasn’t denim,” said Ms Manzetti.
