A blueprint for development in Bloxham could proceed to referendum.
The Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan (NHP) has been inspected by an independent examiner and is to go before Cherwell District Council’s executive committee today for approval.
Neighbourhood plans were introduced in 2011 to allow communities to shape development in their areas.
Once it has been approved by the executive, it will go to referendum to be voted on by the public in Bloxham.
The plan was put together by Bloxham Parish Council with contributions from 140 people, organisations and other bodies.
It was submitted to CDC in November last year and was examined earlier this year.
The examiner’s report has suggested minor changes to the NHP.
Bloxham NHP calls for the village’s rural character to be preserved and for any future new development to show ‘great sensitivity to rural impact.’
