Cherwell District Council waste and recycling crews will continue to collect rubbish as normal and it will not be affected by the bank holiday.
Collections will continue as usual on Monday and throughout the rest of the week to eliminate any disruption to residents across the district.
However the Banbury council offices at Bodicote House and its Link Points in Banbury, Bicester and Kidlington will remain closed on Monday although customers will still be able to access services online.
Councillor Debbie Pickford, Cherwell’s lead member for clean and green, said: “The majority of our bins are emptied between Tuesday and Friday with only a small number of properties subject to Monday collection in comparison. As such, rather than disrupt the schedule and cause an inconvenience to residents, crews will be working as normal so that collections remain unaffected by the Bank Holiday.”
Cherwell’s offices and Link Points will close as normal at 5.15pm on Friday May 27 but will not reopen until 8.45am on Tuesday May 31.
During the office closures online services can still be accessed at www.cherwell.gov.uk and the emergency out of hours number will still be available on 01295 221531.
