BBC’s prime time farming programme, Countryfile, has visited Brailes farmers-turned-butchers, Nick and Jon Francis for a programme to be broadcast next Sunday, May 24.
The brothers’ farm was profiled by presenter Anita Rani, showing the process from piglet all the way to plate.
“We started our farm from scratch. We’re not from a farming family, and are responsible for the pigs from birth right up to them being sold from our butchers’ counter in Brailes,” said Nick Francis. “We supply top restaurants -more than 40 with Michelin stars. Anita fed the pigs, learned the basics of butchery and then went to the Horse and Groom at Bourton on the Hill to cook chops with head chef Will Greenstock.”
