The Banbury Cross Round Table provided the Santas Grotto in centre every Saturday and Sunday in December, before Christmas and during this time Santa saw more than 600 children, hearing present wishes and giving out presents of their own.

All of the monies raised by the Grotto will be used to support the Banbury Cross Round Table’s work helping fund and support local charities and organisations in Banbury and the surrounding area.

Paul Jackson, Centre Manager at Castle Quay Shopping Centre said: “We’re really pleased to be able to hand over such a large cheque to the Banbury Cross Round Table. The Round Table grotto is always a big hit with local children and families and they do great work in the local community so everyone wins!”

Ian Swaysland, Banbury Cross Round Table added: “On behalf of the Round Table, I’d like to thank the Banbury community for its generosity and support for the grotto. These funds will go back into the local community to support some very deserving causes which makes these donations all the more important and meaningful.”
