Banbury's Big Feed Festival is just around the corner

The free, food filled festival celebrating everything culinary is just around the corner.

Taking place at Wykham Park Academy on the Banbury Aspirations campus the event was a big hit last year with hundreds turning up to sample food from across the world, learn some cooking secrets and leave with leave with new ideas and culinary inspiration.

The event, organised by the school’s staff, governors and the community, and supported by Cherwell District Council and Visit Banbury, is on Sunday, September 23 from 11am and 4pm.

Scheduled to appear this are Buzzy Beans Coffee and returning will be Malaysian Memories who will give a live cooking show. Other highlights include; live cookery demos of delicious dishes you can make at home, interactive food science show in the theatre with explosions and experiments, a panel discussion chaired by the Mayor on the future of food, free lunch cooked live on site, free refreshments and windfall apple cakes, chocolate fountains, an update from Merton Street Mosque on the community fridge they are launching and lots more to be announced.

This years event will also focus on careers within the food industry including a business exhibition with large and small local companies who will advise on the educational pathways that can lead to a career in the industry.
