The Rotary Club of Banbury’s ‘Handover’ lunch meeting was held on Friday July 1 where outgoing club president Ian Calderbank, passed over the reins to Owen Kyffin.
The ceremony was attended by Banbury Town Mayor, Cllr Gordon Ross, High Steward of Banbury Sir Tony Baldr and president of the Banbury Lions Club, Phil Hassell along with friends, relatives and 60 club members.
New president Mr Kyffin said: “I must thank, on behalf of the club, Ian Calderbank for his tireless work on behalf of the club over the past year. Indeed I am quite astonished at the amount he managed to get done and the number and range of events he managed to attend on our behalf. The energy and enthusiasm he has brought to the task have been staggering and set quite a high bar in terms of an act to follow.”
