Hanwell Fields Community School in Banbury has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People IIP) Gold standard.

The primary school in Rotary Way now joins the top seven per cent of accredited organisations across the UK, recognised for excellence in staff management and development.

Following a visit to the school, an external assessor interviewed staff at all levels and awarded them a Gold level award – the highest possible rating.

Harry Wall, headteacher, said: “We are delighted to receive this Gold Accreditation from Investors in People. At Hanwell Fields we really do aim to

bring out the best in everyone, including our staff, so it is gratifying to receive such high praise for our CPD programme and all we do to develop and support our teachers and staff.”

In achieving the Gold Standard, Hanwell Fields demonstrated that the school and its staff “are going above and beyond” through partnerships with other schools and sharing best practice, staff training sessions and inspirational speakers.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Hanwell Fields Community School on their Gold standard. Such a high level of

accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be.

“Hanwell Fields Community School should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
