Banbury Police Officer fired
The officer was found to have claimed sick leave contrary to evidence that came to light between December 2015 and March last year suggesting he was actually fit for duty.
PC Field made false and misleading representations to Thames Valley Police regarding the nature and severity of a back condition which constitutes gross misconduct.

PC Field was offered such support but did not take advantage of it. Instead he chose to mislead the Force and as can be seen such actions have no place in Thames Valley Police”
Following a two week hearing, PC Field, who was stationed at Banbury, was dismissed on December 2.
