Banbury piper performs at National TV Awards
This year’s star studded event culminated in a special recognition award being presented to comedian Billy Connolley by Oscar winning Hollywood star, Dustin Hoffman.
Mr Duffy provided the backing for international vocalist Raya Yarborough performing the theme tune from the new Amazon TV channel series Outlander before being joined on stage by the whole band. Dustin Hoffman was visibly moved stating that “it brought him out in goosebumps” before presenting the award to his long time friend Billy Connolly. Steven said: “it was a unique occasion, performing with my Regiment at such a unique occasion. I’ve been a fan of Billy Connolly since I was a boy and I felt honoured to be part of the production”.
