Banbury man arrested after warrants carried out for fraud offences

A 33-year-old man from Banbury was one of four people arrested by police on suspicion of fraud and trading standards offences.

A number of warrants were carried out in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council at about 6am this morning (Tuesday), with 40 police officers and ten trading standards officers attending five residential addresses in Oxford and Banbury.

A 77-year-old man, 66-year-old man and 37-year-old man, all from Oxford, were also arrested and are currently in police custody.

A number of items and documents were seized and the investigation is ongoing.
