North Oxfordshire is predicted to just miss the worst of tonight’s predicted snowfall as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for areas to the west and north of the district.

A band of snow is expected to extend north eastwards across the Midlands from about 8pm this evening (Tuesday), but while neighbouring districts including Stratford-On-Avon and Daventry could experience accumulations of 3cm-8cm overnight and into tomorrow, Banbury is likely remain relatively snow free.

The current Met Office forecast for Banbury is for a light mix of rain and snow from around 8pm tonight until around 9am tomorrow, with temperatures holding just above freezing.
