Banbury death '˜no longer suspicious'

The death of a man in Banbury yesterday (Thursday) is no longer being treated as suspicious by police.

Police say that following a post mortem carried out today, no further action is being taken against a 63-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and he has been released from police custody.

Thames Valley Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the death of the 55-year-old man from Banbury.

A scene watch, which was in place since yesterday in Causeway, Banbury, has now been lifted.

Det Insp Steve Raffield, from Banbury Force CID, said: “As a result of the post mortem examination we are no longer treating the man’s death as suspicious however the Force will continue to investigate the circumstances on behalf of the coroner.
