Fresh from dancing at the Beating Retreat in London last week, four members of Banbury’s Acushla Highland Dancing School attended the 200th anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Waterloo in Belgium last night (Thursday).

Conor Dowers, Beth Eaton, Rebekah Crinean and Abbie Stickle all joined Pipe Major Steve Duffy for the celebrations, which commemorated the significant battle in the Napoleonic Wars of the 19th Century.

They were also dancing for the relatives of descendants involved in the battle in 1815 and also the present Duke of Wellington Arthur Charles Wellesley.
