Judy Mansfield runs Cherish-Ceremonies and was named the winner of the Celebrant and Toastmaster category at a National Customer Service Awards Ceremony in London last week.

As well as designing and delivering wedding celebration ceremonies for couples in Banbury, Mrs Mansfield has also worked with people from as far away as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, China who have come to this region to tie the knot in a destination wedding.

Mrs Mansfield said: “We have such beautiful locations in this area and people love the ‘Downton style’ architecture of some of our beautiful venues, as well as the beautiful Cotswold scenery”.

Judy moved to this area three years ago after a decade living in France. Her language skills means she can also deliver ceremonies in French.

She said that she loves researching traditions and customs for her couples, to reflect their own interests and cultural heritage in their ceremony.

She is even learning British Sign Language for a wedding later this year, and she feels that this attention to detail is what marks her out as constantly delivering a 5 star customer service. Her couples certainly think so, as the awards were made based on independent testimonials from couples using her services.

Judy says that her previous experience in writing and public speaking meant that the role of celebrant was a natural choice for her.

She added: “This doesn’t feel remotely like work as I love it so much! Just over 3 years ago, I had no idea what a celebrant was.

“Now, the profession is becoming much more well known, and this award is also a reflection of that”.
