The Banbury building currently home to the town’s Odeon cinema is going up for auction on July 9.

The cinema on Horse Fair will not be affected but investors are expected to be attracted to the building which currently produces £128,304 income and is let to ABC Cinemas until 2032.

The guide price is £1.9 million.

Acuitus will be leading the auction on the day, and auctioneer Richard Auterac said: “Investors are increasingly interested in lesiure properties because -like in this situation - they are let to good businesses on relatively long leases.

“We expect considerable interest in this lot.”

The building is located next to the famous Banbury Cross, and benefits from self-contained offices with future residential development potential subject to consents.

Nearby occupiers include Pizza Express, Strutt & Parker & the Whately Hall Hotel.
