There was an extra present for one family in Middleton Cheney on Christmas Day as they welcomed their newborn son into the world.
Joanne Wootton and her husband Ben are the proud parents of baby Seth Jack, who was born at 7.13pm weighing 6lbs 5oz at the Horton in Banbury – the only Christmas Day baby at the hospital in 2014.
Mrs Wootton,32, who lives in Dands Drive, said: “Seth was due on the 19th, so when it happened on Christmas Day everything was fine and I managed to get home on Boxing Day to have my Christmas dinner!
“Ben and I are really pleased to welcome Seth. The staff at the Horton were great and I was really well looked after. We just couldn’t believe Seth was born on Christmas Day!” Mrs Wootton is a dance teacher by profession, and runs her own classes in Hanwell Fields, specialising in tap, ballet and modern freestyle.
Her husband is an estimator for crash repairs and works in Banbury.
Seth is the couple’s second child after their three-year-old daughter Ruby, and despite the new addition to the family it didn’t hamper their Christmas celebrations. Mrs Wootton added: “We are all really pleased Seth arrived safely and had a really good Christmas with the all the family.
“Ruby is really happy she has a little brother.”
