Author, screenwriter and producer Andy Briggs inspired students during a recent visit to Kineton High School.

Mr Briggs, who is best known for his Tarzan: A Legend Reborn series of children’s books, talked about his life and gave tips on how to write better stories to Key Stage 3 students.

He spoke about how writing helped him to travel the world and projects he had been involved in such as conservation.

He also ran a writing workshop and signed copies of his latest book.

The visit was part of a series of events celebrating World Book Day on March 12.

Year Seven students had taken part in a festival of reading in the morning while local primary schools had sent teams of Year Five students to participate in a book quiz.

Students also organised a cake sale to raise funds for Book Aid International.

As part of the fun many students and staff also dressed up as jungle animals and explorers.

Andy Briggs has written for movie projects Judge Dredd and Freddie Vs Jason.

He has also worked for Warner Brothers on Aquaman.
