The first students to apply to Bicester’s new studio school showed their artistic side at an activity day.
The event was open to everyone who has applied to join Bicester Technology Studio, which opens on Queens Avenue in September.
During the event on Monday, students created artwork which will be displayed in the new school building and made a promotional film.
Principal Richard Brown said: “Momentum is really building as we get ready to open in September. This event was a great opportunity to bring together those who have already applied, to help them get to know each other by working on practical activities and challenges.”
He added the school was delighted at the response it had received so far.
Bicester Technology Studio will offer students in years 10 to 13 GCSEs, A-levels and specialist BTEC qualifications in business and the built environment.
Applicant Cailan Grehan, 13, said: “My expectations were different to what really happened. It was like looking at education and business from a different angle, I’ve really enjoyed it.”
