An art student from Aynho is having her work put on display as part of a small exhibition in a pop-up venue in Brackley.

Ruth Boddington, 21, is in her final year at the University of Northampton and specialises in both painting and drawing.

Her work will be at a building called ‘Space’ in Market Place from January 30 to February 1 everyday from 1oam to 5pm. A private viewing in the evening is on January 30 from 6.30pm until 10pm. The theme of the exhibition is called the ‘Unknown Deep’ and she said: “It started out by developing a response to a painting called Snow Storm-Steam Boat off a Harbour’s Mouth by William Turner.

“I became fascinated with his expressive handling of the paint and how his brush marks portrayed his feelings and emotions from a real-life experience.”
