Plans for 30 new homes on land to the rear of Crab Tree Close are among planning applications to be discussed when members of Cherwell District Council’s planning committee meet at 4pm tomorrow (Thursday).

Council officers have recommended the planning committee refuses the application over concerns relating to the loss of agricultural land, the distance of the development from the main body of the village and the lack of any detailed section 106 agreement to secure a financial contribution to local amenities. The report states the development is an“unnecessary, undesirable and unsustainable new housing development that would harm the rural character and setting of the village”.
