Appeal launched after fatal Deddington crash

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Deddington.

At around 2.50pm on Saturday, February 1, a black Honda motorcycle, a white Ford Transit and a black Dodge pick-up were involved in a collision on the A4260 Banbury Road near to the council depot.

The rider of the motorcycle, a woman in her twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

There were no other injuries.

Investigating officer, PC Sandra Terry, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, based at Bicester, said: “My thoughts are with family and friends of the motorcycle rider who sadly died in this incident.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who has any information to please come forward.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, to check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation.
