Appeal for witnesses after man stabbed in Banbury
Police were called at around 11.15pm to a report of an injured man at a property in Centre Street, Banbury. South Central Ambulance staff had been called and arrived to find a 29-year-old man had sustained stab wounds to his stomach and shoulders.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he is currently being treated. His condition is described as stable.

Hide AdDet Sgt Mike West of Banbury CID, leading the investigation, said: “We are very keen to speak to anyone who was in Centre Street last night and may have seen or heard a fight or an argument going on in one of the houses.
“A man is in hospital having been stabbed and someone may have information which could prove vital to our investigation into the circumstances which led up to this attack. We are appealing for them to come forward.
“We do not believe, at this stage, that this is a random attack as we believe that the victim was known to his attacker.”
