Appeal after thieves steal diamond engagement ring from Idbury home.

Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars stole eight watches, cash and a diamond engagement ring from a property in Idbury on Saturday.

Offenders gained access through an unsecured window at the back of the property on Main Road between 10.30am and 1.20pm.

Investigating officer police constable Lisa Chapman, based at Witney police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have heard or seen suspicious behaviour in the area at this time to please get in contact via the Thames Valley Police 24-hour enquiry line 101.

“It is also a reminder to keep all doors and windows secured even if you are still in the property.”
