Antiques centre near Chipping Norton broken into

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a non-dwelling burglary at an antiques centre in Southcombe near Chipping Norton.

Between 11pm and 11.30pm yesterday (Thursday) offenders entered the Quiet Woman Antique Centre in Oxford Road by forcing entry through the roof.

Once inside they broke in to cabinets and stole jewellery and at least one watch before leaving the premises. No one else was in the store at the time.

No description of the offenders is currently available.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Richard White, from Witney Local CID, said: “I would like to speak to anybody who saw any suspicious vehicles or people in the area during the evening or any vehicles driving at speed in the area.

“If you have any information which could assist with our enquiries please contact police.”
