Major online retailer Amazon will be opening a delivery station in Banbury in September.
More than 30 people will be employed at the station and Amazon will be using 15 independent delivery companies, who are hiring 150 drivers to deliver parcels across the Banbury area, including on Sundays.
The station will be part of Amazon Logistics, which was launched in 2012.
Jamie Stephenson, UK director for Amazon Logistics, said: “Amazon Logistics adds capacity and flexibility to Amazon’s delivery network, enabling us to meet the delivery needs of customers. Amazon Logistics is also helping independent local delivery companies to grow their businesses by providing state of the art technology to deliver Amazon orders.”
