All Saints announced to Cornbury Music Festival line-up

All Saints will be making their comeback at Cornbury Music Festival near Great Tew in July. NNL-160229-101504001

The band will be showcasing their new album at the three-day festival from July 8-10 along with the megahits that made them famous such as Pure Shores, Never Ever and Under the Bridge.

As well as being a rare opportunity to see Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt and Appleton sisters Nicole and Natasha perform, the music festival has also signed up Corinne Bailey Rae who has chosen the festival for one of her long-awaited return shows, following the release of her first album in five years.

The festival is also adding another 60’s music legend to the already impressive classic Cornbury line-up with, the seminal Booker T – who’ll bring his very special grooves to the party.

All Saints, Corinne Bailey Rae and Booker T join the Saturday bill topped by the most elegant man in music Mr Bryan Ferry, along with the purveyor of The Power of Love Gabrielle Aplin, revered alt-country star Lucinda Williams and dreamy songsters Turin Brakes.

Sealing the bill are trio Red Sky July (husband and wife duo Ally McErlaine [Texas] and Shelly Poole [Alisha’s Attic]), folky newcomers Cattle & Cane, and Lighthouse Family frontman Tunde who will revisit the band’s classic catalogue.

After his triumph as surprise special guest last year, SEAL returns with his own headline slot on Sunday. Joining Seal are Cornbury favourites The Shires, along with celebrated singer-songwriter James Morrison, guitar virtuoso Newton Faulkner and 60s rock combo The Zombies.

Cornbury perennials STAXS return to their regular Sunday slot, with bets already being taken on who their star guest will be this year.

Noah & The Whale guitarist Fred Abbott showcases his new band, Kelvin Jones brings a soulful edge, and musicals star Ramin Karimloo makes his major UK festival debut with a touch of bluegrass.

Probably the best party band in the World – Bjorn Again - close the festival from the Songbird Stage in true ABBA style.

Jamie Cullum is Friday’s headliner and will be joined by 80’s acid jazz pioneers Soul II Soul, R&B troubadour Lemar, rock ‘n’ roll survivor Wilko Johnson, Ska veterans The Beat along with newcomers Port Isla, Simo and The Dunwells.
