Adderbury resident compiles book about real-life villages of Midsomer Murders
Roaming Midsomer is a book by Chris Behan and Martin Andrew, a compilation of interesting walks and places to eat based around the locations in the television series and sequel to Exploring Midsomer.
Mr Behan, from Adderbury, decided to put together a sequel after the first book did so well around the world
He said: “When I was giving a talk on the first book, someone said they would use it as a guide for Sunday afternoon drives and they would do it chapter by chapter. So I said to myself, ‘It would be nice to give them something to do when they got there.’”
The walks are listed by their difficulty level and the guide is user friendly.
Mr Behan travelled for more than 5,000 miles and took more than 3,000 photographs for the book.
His books have attracted interest from ITV and several radio stations.
Mr Behan said: “I like the Midsomer Murders series – it is quintessentially English, has unbelievable murders which couldn’t happen in real life and I like the characters.”
Mr Behan will be giving a talk at Sulgrave Church Hall tomorrow, Friday, at 6.30pm. Call 01295 760214 or 01295 760520 for more details and tickets.
