A warm ‘thank you’ from Frosty, the Lions’ snowman

Frosty the Towcester and District Lions’ Snowman was busy in December with four street collections in the town, raising more than £1,000 for charities in the area. Frosty collected a total of £1,005 and the first of the charities getting a share was Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, which received £288. The second one benefiting from Frosty’s hard work was the Northampton, Daventry andTowcester branch of the Parkinson’s Society, which got £213 and, finally, Northamptonshire Young Carers received £255 – money which will be put to good use as each year the club aims to contribute to the cost of an outing forlocal young carers.
