Critically acclaimed comic artist Jess Thom will be performing her first live show Backstage in Biscuitland. Jess created the character ‘Touretteshero’ to celebrate the creative side of Tourette’s – a neurological condition that means she says ‘biscuit’ 16,000 times a day. The two-woman show, which also features award-winning performer Jess Mabel Jones, combines storytelling, comedy and puppetry, and offers an insight into what it’s like to live with such an unpredictable disorder. Chipping Norton Amateur Astronomy Group and the Rollright Trust are holding a combined exhibition of pictures in the gallery of the theatre. The astronomical exhibits include detailed pictures of solar system and deep space objects taken by CNAAG astrophotographers. The Rollright Trust will also have a comprehensive display showing the its work plus historical and archeological information about the site and recent discoveries . The exhibition will be formally declared open on Tuesday followed by a special showing of the documentary Starmen followed by a talk by astrophycist and telescope expert Dr Frazer Clarke from the Department of Astrophysics, Oxford University. CNAAG and Rollright Trust members will be on hand to talk to. The exhibition will be open before , during and after every show at the theatre and from 1pm to 3pm on Saturdays.
