The group’s 29th production promises to stick closely to the traditional, much-loved story, as Dick travels to London to find his fortune.

In true panto style, he meets a whole host of characters along the way, who both help and hinder him in his search for riches and fame.

The stop-offs include Fitzwarren’s shop, a shipwreck and the Sultan’s palace, which form the source of plenty of fun and action for the story’s heroes and villains.

Look out for a spectacular “under the sea” ballet and prepare to boo and cheer as the evil King Rat does battle with Fairy Bow Bells.

Dick Whittington will be performed each evening from today (Thursday) through to Saturday 30, including a matinee on the Saturday.

It will be held at the Memorial Hall in Hook Norton, with tickets available from Sheila on 01608 730355 or email: [email protected]
