Not another rehash of an old game? Well actually The Warriors is not just any other re-release because it’s by Rock Star.
Gamers have been treated to some fantastic remasters and re-releases on PlayStation 4, and some not so great too.
But with the creators of Grand Theft Auto behind this re-release of a cult classic game about a cult classic film, what’s not to like?
For those that don’t know, The Warriors is - unsurprisingly - a beat ‘em up and was originally released in 2005 for PlayStation 2.
Although the graphics have been pushed up to 1080p, the PS4 version out now is very much a re-release rather than a remaster.
The game takes place in a gritty 1970s New York City. The story follows a street gang known as the Warriors, who have been accused of a murder they didn’t commit, and must return to their home turf in one night, although the game begins three months prior to the film events.
The original was a success achieving average review scores of 8.7/10. So for anyone who missed it first time around or fancies having a blast through it again the re-release will be right up your street.Damien Lucas, games columnist

The PSN download will cost £11.99 and joins a growing catalogue of PS2-era Rockstar Games titles being converted for digital download following Manhunt, Bully, Red Dead Revolver, and multiplayer Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club games.
Don’t expect great graphics because as I say this is very much a re-release but one thing you can always rely on with Rockstar is a superb narrative and engrossing plot.
The gameplay will also be right up there and the different characters have differing fighting styles.
Your objective? Make your way from one end of New York to your home turf on the other side of the city.
All that stands between The Warriors and survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members.
It’s going to be a long night.
