Property Focus: Popular Hook Norton pub and campsite set to go under the hammer

A popular countryside pub and adjoining campsite near Hook Norton are set to go for auction later this month with a guide price of £175,000.

Potential buyers will have the opportunity to bid for The Gate Hangs High Inn on Thursday, November 26.

The traditional rural pub, located on Tadmarton Heath Road, also comes with an adjoining 3,660 sq ft campsite.

The Gate Hangs High Inn is believed to have been built in the 1830s as a beerhouse and farm.

Situated at a crossroads on an old drovers' road, the pub once served travellers herding livestock from Wales to major markets in the Midlands and London.

According to Booking.com, the pub currently has four double en-suite rooms available to let.
