Banbury charity receives funding boost for new equipment

A Banbury-based charity has received a funding boost to buy equipment and further help residents with employment advice.

The Banbury Advice Centre (BAC) charity, which was awarded the Highly Commended category in the Inspirational Award of the Oxfordshire Adult Social Care Awards 2022, offers residents of Banburyshire advice on career counselling as well as navigating tax, benefit, wills and power of attorney forms.

The £500 funding boost from Localgiving and the Postcode Society Trust will enable BAC to buy equipment and will help the charity with its advice work.

Andy Willis, the chairman and founder of the BAC, said: “We are grateful for this grant as it will help us have the equipment needed to give advice to the general public.”
